GARYVILLE – Businessman Danny Millet easily defeated council veteran Cleveland Farlough in the race for St. John Parish District 2 council member.

In one of the most decisive results of the day, Millet received 1,363 votes to Farlough’s 762. That was enough to give Millet a 28 percent margin of victory.

Council member-elect Millet plans to use his business expertise to tackle division problems by alleviating traffic with new roadways and I-10 on- and off-ramps upgrading the area’s drainage system.
