Reserve Christian’s Eagle basketball squad improved to 9-6 on the season Monday night with a 77-71 victory over H.L. Bourgeois.
The Eagles had the poise of a defending state champion team in this one, as RCS climbed back into this one with a fourth quarter run of 34-19 to take the win despite being down by ten or more throughout the first three periods.
Eddren McCain and Cedrick Jenkins led the Eagles on the offensive side, putting up 31 and 26 points respectively. Franklin Francois rounded out the top scorers with ten points.
The Eagles are next set to host East St. John this Tuesday night at Reserve Christian with a 7 p.m tip-off. The last time these two squads faced off, former RCS all-state player Demond “Tweety” Carter scored 81 points.
