NORCO – Gaston “Ponnie” Joseph Ayme, Jr., 79, died November 3. He was the husband of Helen Duhe Ayme.
He is survived by children Grant Ayme, Mollie Ayme Chapman, Emric Ayme, Thecia Ayme Marble, Tyler Ayme, Nathan Ayme and Mahlon Ayme. He is also survived by brother Byron Ayme.
He was preceded in death by parents Gaston Ayme, Sr., and Adele Bergeron Ayme. He was also preceded in death by siblings Gloria Ayme Mouton and Lloyd Ayme and a host of other relatives.
Services were held November 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norco with interment in St. Charles Mausoleum in Destrehan.

Johnson
NEW SARPY – Lawrence “Tulah” Johnson, 81, died November 3. He was the husband of Octavia W. Johnson.
He is survived by children Lawrence Reynauld and Keith Johnson. He is also survived by siblings Hattie Parquet, Viola Wilson, Beatrice Cheri, and a host of other family and relatives.
He was preceded in death by parents Viola and Samuel Johnson. He was also preceded in death by siblings Samuel Johnson, PC Johnson, Neotha Norris, Doreathea Taylor and Geraldine Johnson.
Services will be held November 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church in New Sarpy with interment in Jefferson memorial Garden Cemetery in St. Rose.

Martin
PAULINA – Trudy Vicknair Martin, 51, died November 1. She was the wife of ray Martin, Sr.
She is survived by children Tricia Martin Bourque and Ray Martin, Jr. She is also survived by sister Florence Vicknair.
She was preceded in death by parents Michel and Florence Vicknair. She was also preceded in death by sister Berdine Vicknair Granier.
Services were held November 6 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum.

Matis
HAHNVILLE – Lena Fredella Matis, 73, died November 1. She was the wife of the late Anthony Raymond Matis.
She is survived by children Joseph and Vance Matis. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Victoria Salvato Fredella. She was also preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 8 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft.

NEW SARPY – Septime I. Schexnayder, 74, died November 4. He was the husband of Elizabeth Torres Schexnayder.
He is survived by children Mary Clare Schexnayder, Paul and Brad Schexnayder.
He is also survived by siblings Gilbert Schexnayder and Bernice Hebert.
He was preceded in death by parents John and Clare Schexnayder. He was also preceded in death by siblings Thelma Roussel and Lawrence Schexnayder.
Services were held November 7 at St. Charles Borremeo Catholic Church in Destrehan with interment in St. Charles Mausoleum.

Vicknair
RESERVE – Earline Stein Vicknair, 73, died November 6. She was the wife of the late Roy Vicknair.
She is survived by children Ricky Vicknair and Wendy Galatas. She is also survived by siblings Henry and Houston Stein, and Mae Louque.
She was preceded in death by parents Henry and Eva Stein. She was also preceded in death by brother Norwood Stein, Sr.
Services will be held November 8 at noon in St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve with interment in the church cemetery.
