The Tigers have been a force on the diamond in the last week, going to 4-0 in district play and downing the Comets __-__ last Friday. They followed that performance up the very next day with a win against Destrehan, a formidable opponent who had a 14-6 record coming into the game. The only thing left for the Tigers to do now is go back for secondsŠ as in district re-matches.

In Saturday’s game, the Tigers opened it up first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. With senior Aaron Loupe on the mound, HHS held the Wildcats scoreless until the fourth inning. Loupe added to the Hahnville offense as well with a home-run while his counter-part, pitcher Shnowski went 2-for-4 from the batter’s box. Tiger’s sophomore Colby Broussard went 2-for-3.

Hahnville next faces East St. John in district play. That game is set for Thursday in Hahnville with a turn-around game in Reserve on Saturday. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win when they met ESJ last Saturday in Reserve.
