On May 1, the La Place Warriors Soccer Team competed for the Nokia Sugar Bowl State Cup in Lafayette, Louisiana. The match up was between the Mandeville Impact and the Warriors. The Warriors fell short of the State Cup after a hard fought second half where the Warriors held the Impact scoreless.
