GOLF TOURNAMENT SET
LaPlace area junior golfers ages 11-18 are invited to compete in the Emerald Bay Junior Classic at Emerald Bay Golf Club in Destin, Florida on May 14th-15th. The two-day, 36-hole event is ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and hosted by the Arrowhead Junior Golf Tour. Registration deadline is Saturday, May 7th at 6:00 P.M. The second annual Frisco Fest 5K/mile run is set for May 22nd at 7:30 for the mile run and 8:00 for the 5K run at the San Fransico Plantation in Garyville, Louisiana. Entry fee is $12 before May 1st, $15.00 after. Ages 12 and under are free. Race amenities include a custom t-shirt, food, cold beer, free admission to browse around the fest featuring crafts, food and entertainment. BIKE RACE SET
The second annual Tour De’San Francisco bike run is set for May 21, 2005 at the San Francisco Plantation in Garyville, Louisiana. Check in time is 7:30 a.m. with a 8 a.m. Start. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Your $20 entry fee for the 25-mile race includes a t-shirt, drinks and meal. Fee is

SCC ALUMNI CABBAGEBALL TOURNEY SET
Saturday, May 7th, 2005 at the SCC Football Field, St. Charles Catholic will host their annual cabbage ball tournament. Registration fee is $50 per team. Each team will consist of 10 players on the field, four of which must be girls. Each team must have four team members that are SCC alumni, alumni spouse, or current SCC student or parent. Men will bat will their opposite hitting hand and each game will last five innings with each hitter starting with a 1-1 count. The team that wins the tournament will receive T-shirts. BASEBALL TOURNEY SET
MISS-LOU CLASSIC baseball tournament will be held May 21 & 22 in Vidalia, La. The tournament will offer 5 age divisions of play (8U machine pitch, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U).
