LAPLACE-Taking on one of the top teams in the state in the Hannan Hawks, the St. Charles Catholic Comet baseball team fell to Hannan 9-7 last Saturday afternoon.
Hannan remains one of the top teams in the greater New Orleans area with an impressive 20-3 record.
The Comets of St. Charles Catholic are now 11-8 after their game against Hannan, but are still a perfect 3-0 in district 10-3A.
The schedule does not get any easier for the Comets this week as they will have three games on the road.
After taking on arch-rival Lutcher yesterday at Lutcher, the Comets travel to St. James to take on the Wildcats Thursday afternoon.
St. Charles Catholic concludes their week on Saturday when they travel to Baton Rouge to take on perennial powerhouse Episcopal of Baton Rouge in a very important state playoff warmup for both schools.
