BOUTTE-With a match-up against fellow powerhouse Destrehan less than a week away, the Hahnville Tigers took car of business on Saturday against Terrebone.
Collecting 15 hits as a team, the Tigers destroyed Terrebone, 13-0.
Jordan Brown was his usual unhittable self as he picked up the complete-game victory, allowing only one infield hit and striking out nine.
Charlie Harrell and Steven Burns provided all of the offense for the Tigers. Harrell went 2-3 and drove in a pair of runs while Burns went 3-3 and had four runs driven in.
“We came out hard and played well,” Hahnville Head Coach Frank Cazeaux said. “Jordan was outstanding on the mound. He has only allowed one run this entire season. He has been pitching well for us and we have played really well behind him.
“Offensively we are starting to hit all cylinders. We have executed some drag bunts down, move some runners over on sacrifices and so on. I mean we had 15 hits.”
A senior-heavy squad, Cazeaux said his was impressed with the way his team kept their focus against Terrebone despite the rematch looming with Destrehan on Saturday.
“We have 13 seniors,” Cazeaux said. “They understand. They have been there before. They actually help me through things. They understand that we have got to play every game hard and I demand from them that we play hard every single game and take one game at a time.”
