St. John Sheriff’s deputies are cracking down on speeders at the Airline Highway repair work near Marathon. On Thursday, 40 speeding tickets were issued in less than 90 minutes. Those cited often claimed they “didn’t notice” the dozens of barrles and several signs posted, Lt. Troy Cassioppi said. The work zone will continue until early May, along with the enforcement.
