RESERVE – The atmosphere at the #2436 Knights of Columbus Hall was very festive Friday afternoon. The occasion was the 25th Annual Senior Citizens Christmas Luncheon.
More than 300 people attended the event, which included a homemade dinner, entertainment, a bingo game, and much fellowship.
This year’s bingo prizes, which were donated by area businesses, organizations and individuals, were valued at more than $1,000, according to KC Commander Burt Cashio.
Although the traditional affair usually keeps the same schedule, a few things may change each year.
On Friday, instead of a live band performing like they did last year, recorded music played throughout the luncheon. Guests were happy with this change, as it gave them a chance to sing-along with the tunes.
Also, Rev. Tuan Pham of St. Peter’s Church played his guitar and eighth-graders from the school sang traditional holiday songs.
