VACHERIE – Oak Alley Plantation plans two Christmas Bonfire Parties this year, Dec. 4 and Dec. 11, marking the 29th anniversary of this event.
Festivities begin at 7 p.m., and will continue to midnight, with Cajun/Creole buffets, live entertainment, door prizes and libations.
From the balcony, a brass quintet will welcome arriving guests and later lead the attendees along the quarter-mile alley of oaks to the levee for the lighting of the traditional bonfire, caroling and fireworks.
After the levee events, guests will be welcomed back to the Manor for more dancing, coffee, hot chocolate and beignets until midnight.
Proceeds will go to the continued restoration of Oak Alley Plantation. Attire is holiday casual.
