VACHERIE – Laura Plantation will celebrate 200 years of Creole culture with their annual Christmas Bonfire Party on Dec. 4. Featuring food, hard and soft beverages, live entertainment and the lighting of the traditional bonfire, the event starts at 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the restoration project of Laura Plantation Manor House, severely damaged by fire on Aug. 9.
