LAPLACE – Lloyd J. LeBlanc, a Gramercy resident, St. James School Board member, and LaPlace attorney, was suspended from the practice of law for one year, with all but 30 days deferred, by an order of the Louisiana Supreme Court dated Oct. 14.

LeBlanc’s suspension was the result of his failing to represent a client with competence, reasonable diligence and promptness and failing to fully communicate with a client about the status of the case.

LeBlanc’s office, upon inquiry, said he was “on vacation” for a month and could not be reached for comment.
