Discovery Channel new to St. John cable

LAPLACE – Time Warner Cable announced that Discovery Health Channel is now on their basic cable service, starting on Oct. 6. This move allows thousands more Time Warner cable subscribers in St. John the Baptist Parish to experience the compelling, real-life stories of medical breakthroughs and human triumphs, as well as popular series such as Dr. G. Medical Examiner, the network’s highest-rated series, the Body Challenge franchise, and annual specials such as Birth Day Live!
Baton Rouge and New Orleans were two of the cities featured in the network’s Birth Day Live Discovery Health Channel takes viewers inside the fascinating and informative world of cutting-edge medicine and health, delivering 24-hour programming to St. John families and medical professionals.

Dr. G. Medical Examiner returns in fourth quarter will all-new episodes. This popular series steps inside the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office in Orlando where Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia (“Dr. G”) offers Discovery Health Channel exclusive access to the death cases she examines and ultimately cracks.
