Norco, LA (October 1, 2004) – Shell Chemicals LP announced the appointment of Carol Triebel as Site Manager for Shell Norco Chemical. Ms. Triebel comes to Shell with a strong industry background and experience gained while working in successive leadership roles with Huntsman Corporation and Texaco Chemicals. She most recently served as Vice President, Manufacturing Petrochemicals and Polymers with Huntsman in Houston. She holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from Baylor University and a M.S. degree in organic chemistry from the University of Texas.

Carol and her husband Rick Gist, natives of Port Arthur, Texas and Alabama respectively, will reside in St. Charles Parish. Her hobbies include gardening and travel.

Ms. Triebel replaces Wayne Pearce who was recently transferred to Durban South Africa as Managing Director for SAPREF, a joint venture refining operation between Shell and British Petroleum.
