King and Queen of Hearts

The official crowning of the River Parishes Fall Festival Queens and Kings of Hearts took place on Sunday, September 12th. On hand to help with the official auctions were Director and Co-Directors, Doreen Landry, Celeste Stein, Kerri Roussel, and Nicole Falgoust, 2004-2005 Miss Queen of Hearts, Julianne Beaugh, 2004-2005 Teen Queen of Hearts, and Becky Brens, 2004-2005 Ms. Queen of Hearts. All of our kings and queens were presented on stage and received their crowns.
Miss Queen of Hearts
On Saturday, September 11th, the River Parishes Fall Festival crowned, Nicole Falgoust, 19, of Des Allemands, as their new 2004-2005 Miss Queen of Hearts. She also won the fashion and the prettiest hair awards. She is a 2003 graduate of Hahnville High School and is presently attending Louisiana State University pursuing a degree in dental hygiene. She is a member of Delta Zeta sorority, Up til Dawn Organization and Tiger Athletic Foundation. Nicole is also a TOP’S recipient, a member of Who’s Who Among American College Students and on the Dean’s list. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, traveling Louisiana, and participating in and attending pageants. As the reigning Miss Queen of Hearts, Falgoust will travel the state of Louisiana visiting various fairs and festivals. She will also represent the River Parishes Fall Festival at the 2005 Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Convention and Queen of Queens pageant held in Baton Rouge in February. Falgoust is the daughter of Louis and Laurie Falgoust of Des Allemends.
Caroline Pickering, 17, of Montz, was selected I’ runner up, prettiest smile and prettiest eyes awards. She is the daughter of Michael and Robin Pickering.
Ashley Bush, 19, of Destrehan, was selected 2 nd runner up. She also won the prettiest eyes, prettiest smile, people’s choice, and photogenic awards. She is the daughter of Blake and Gayle Bush.
Caitlin Gilbert, 18, of St. Rose was selected 3rd runner up and was selected Miss Sweetness. She is the daughter of Maureen Gilbert and the late Harold “Tookie” Gilbert.
Teen Queen of Hearts
Julianne Beaugh, 15, of Montz was crowned the 2004-2005 Teen Queen of Hearts. She also was awarded the prettiest eyes, prettiest smile and photogenic awards. She is presently a sophomore at Destrehan High School and the starting pitcher for the varsity softball team at Destrehan High School. She attended two National Softball Championships in Decatur, Illinois and Gulfport, Mississippi and was selected to play for the Lady Tigers Gold 16U softball team for 2004-2005. She is participating in Jazz Ensemble and Chamber singers for DHS and hopes to compete in District and State choir. In he spare time, she enjoys dancing and has been dancing for 12 years. She is the daughter of Kenvard and Cindy Beaugh .
Kacie White, 15, of Lutcher, was selected 1st runner up. She is the daughter of Richard and Mary White.
Kristen Levron, 15, of Garyville, was selected 2nd runner up and also won the prettiest hair, and fashion awards. She is the daughter of John and Katrina Levron.
Randi Marshall, 14, of Destrehan, was selected 3rd runner up. She is the daughter of Randy and Georgelyn Marshall.
Erika Beck, 13, of Destrehan, was selected 4th runner up. She is the daughter of Eric and Vivian Beck.
Ms. Queen of Hearts
Becky Brens of Norco was crowned the 2004-2005 Ms. Queen of Hearts. She also won the fashion award.
She is married to Steve Brens and she is the mother of 3 daughters, Kirsten, Lorrie, and Madalyn and step mother of Victoria.
She has a degree in science with a concentration in nutrition. She is currently attending Nicholls State University pursuing a degree in education. She serves as a room mother for her children at their school. Becky has been a part of the pageant system for the past 12 years as a contestant, pageant mom, and judge. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, attending fairs and festivals with her family and spending quality time with her family.
Jessica Bilyeu of Raceland was selected 1st runner up and also won the prettiest smile award.
Charlene Bruce of Luling was selected 2nd runner up and also won the prettiest hair and photogenic awards.
Shay Posey of Luling was selected 3rd runner up and also won the prettiest eyes award.
