Louisiana Catfish Queen to compete in 2004 Louisiana Queen of Queen’s Pageant

Ashley Lacassin, Louisiana Catfish Queen XXVIII, will be competing for the Louisiana Queen of Queen’s title on Saturday, February 7th, at the Radisson Hotel in Baton Rouge.
Contestants for the Louisiana Queen of Queen’s Pageant are young women who are fair and festival title holders throughout the State of Louisiana. The pageant is presented by the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals, and officials estimate there to be approximately 60 to 70 queens from throughout the state competing in this year’s pageant.
All queens are requested to arrive Thursday, February 5th, for orientation and registration, and competition begins Friday, February 6th, with interviews. Friday night there will be some relaxing “down time” with a presentation show performed by the queens in relation to this year’s theme of “Louisiana Hoedown”. Competition will end Saturday night with the evening gown competition and crowning of the 2004 Queen of Queens concluding with the Queen’s Banquet.
The Louisiana Catfish Festival Committee would like to wish the best of luck to Louisiana Catfish Queen XXVIII, Ashley Lacassin. It is truly an honor and a privilege to participate in the Louisiana Queen of Queen’s Pageant.
The Festival Committee would also like to acknowledge Louisiana Catfish Teen Queen, Alyse Granier who will join Ashley by riding in the Luling parade Saturday, February 21st and the Des Allemands parade Sunday, February 22nd.
