Lady Cats win again, improve record
30-0
The East St. John Lady Cats picked up win number 30 on the season with a convincing 62-36 victory over South Lafourche in 6-5A action Tuesday night. Standouts Kojo Hamilton and Erin Keller had 13 and 11 points respectivly. The Lady Cats built on a 13-2 lead at the end of the period and exploded to a 39-8 lead at halftime.

Lutcher defeats Donaldsonville
With three scorers in double figures, the Lutcher Bulldogs knocked off Donaldsonville in a 10-3A district contest Tuesday night in Lutcher. Gerard Landry finished the game with 19 points and freshman Trenton Marshall chipped in with 17 points. It was the first district game for both teams.
Despite trailing at halftime, the Bulldogs outscored the Tigers 16-11 in the fourth period to earn the victory.

Lady Bulldogs rough season continues
A difficult season for the Lutcher Lady Bulldogs continued Tuesday night in Lutcher. The Lady Bulldogs fell to 2-22 overall with a 67-37 thumping at the hands of Donaldsonville in Lutcher. The loss also dropped LHS to 0-3 in district play. Things got off to a bad start for the Lady Bulldogs as they were outscored 17-3 at the end of the first quarter.

West St. John wins
district opener
The West St. John Rams destroyed Riverside Academy in boys basketball action on Wednesday night. Behind Josh Lumar’s 19 points, the Rams defeated Riverside 78-39. Leading the way for Riverside was Josh Labiche, who finished with 18 points. Quinn Johnson contributed with 12 points and Dane Stipe finished with 10 points. RA was held to single digits in three of the four quarters.

Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star Summer Basketball Camp. The camp is by invitation only and is for boys and girls ages 10-19. Players from 50 states and 11 foreign countries attended the 2003 camp. College basketball scholarships are possible for players selected to the All-American Team. Destrehan Lady Wildcats run past THS
The Destrehan Lady Wildcats ran past the Thibodaux Lady Tigers Tuesday night in Thibodaux. Amber Eugene and Brittany Luckette each finished with 16 points in the game, while Ashley Sentimore finished with 11 points. The Destrehan defense stepped up and shut down Thibodaux by holding them to single digit scoring in all four quarters. The victory lifted Destrehan to 19-8 on the season and 7-3 in district play.

East St. John wins fifth district game
The East St. John Wildcats improved to 5-3 in district play with a 73-67 victory over South Lafourche Tuesday night in Reserve. Ryan Perrilloux led the Wildcats with 17 points and Ricardo Porter contributed with 11 points. East St. John exploded in the third quarter and scored 27 points en route to the victory. Center Korey Raymond finished with nine points.

Lady Rams scorch Fisher, 48-35
West St. John raced past Fisher Tuesday night 48-35 in girls action. Teri Pierce finished the game leading all scorers with 15 points in the victory.
The loss dropped Fisher to 1-9 on the season. The Lady Rams built a commanding 32-15 lead at halftime. In addition, the Lady Rams held Fisher to single digits in three of four quarters.
