Tregre added that the mother tested her daughter with a home pregnancy kit, and she turned up a positive result. The mother was then told by her daughter that three sexual encounters had taken place during the past three months, resulting in the pregnancy.

GARYVILLE – Three Dec. 31 armed robbers were spotted by a witness in Garyville and arrests are expected soon, according to police.
Capt. Michael Tregre of the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office said that deputies were summoned to Historic West Street in Garyville on New Year’s Eve at 3:27 p.m. There, the 27-year-old male victim alleged he was getting out of his car in his own driveway when three black males approached, wearing ski masks.
Each pulled a small-caliber handgun and the trio demanded cash, at which time he complied, handing over a wallet with its contents.
The alleged victim and a neighbor who witnessed the robbery provided deputies with descriptions. The neighbor also spotted the robbers prior to their donning ski masks, so had a look at their faces, Tregre reported, recognizing one as a Mt. Airy resident.
No arrests have yet been reported, Tregre added.
