Wednesday night services, soup and sandwiches will be offered at the Lutheran Church of the Galilean in LaPlace. Soup and sandwiches will be served from 6-6:45 p.m. and the service will follow at 7 p.m.A Bah class, “Journey of the Soul,” begins at 7:30 p.m. at Joans Preschool Building, 1712 Carrollwood Drive in LaPlace. Free art classes for St. Charles Parish senior citizens, age 60 and up, are from noon to 3 p.m. at the New Sarpy Senior Citizen Center. The Hendricks Family Circus will perform under the big tent at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Knights of Columbus Home, 346 Fir St, LaPlace. Doors open one hour before the show. St Charles Parish senior citizens Easter luncheon takes place at the K.C. Hall on Angus Drive in Luling. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Special presentations will be handed out for the oldest female and male, along with door prizes donated by local businesses. All senior citizens of St. Charles Parish are invited to attend. Our Lady of Grace Church Lenten fried fish dinners will be sold from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Knights of Peter Claver Hall on Chad Baker St. in Reserve. Dinners are $5 each. A Relay for Life garage sale fund-raiser is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Garyville Youth Organization Gym on Church Street in Garyville. This fund-raiser is being given by Nalco Chemical Companys Relay for Life team members, all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society.The Southern Office of the River Region 4-H Club C.H.E.F. car wash, to benefit community service projects and 4-H Celebration Day, is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Burger King parking lot, Airline Highway, LaPlace.
