SCC holding Field Day, run

LAPLACE – St. Charles Catholic will host its 16th annual Field Day for local grammar schools on Sunday, April 8. Competition begins at 10 a.m. and will conclude at approximately 1:30 p.m. Entry forms are available at local Catholic grammar schools and St. Charles Catholic High School. Registration will also be held on the morning of the event. The event is open to all students pre-K(4) through sixth grade. The entry fee is $3 per child which allows each participant to compete in 10 events, including broad jump, 100-yard dash, peanut race, soccer kick and more. Ribbons are awarded to all participants. T-shirts are available for $12 but must be ordered in advance. Concessions and a jambalaya dinner will be sold throughout the day. Parents and family members are encouraged to spend the day on the campus enjoying the games and spending time together. The first “Run for the Son” road race will also be held. The one-mile “fun run” will begin at 8 a.m., with the 5K race starting at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee is $12. The entry fee includes entry in one race, T-shirt and refreshments following the race. Entry forms are available at St. Charles Catholic High School. The race will benefit the St. Charles Catholic Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ trip to the national conference during the summer.
