PARADIS – A Des Allemands woman died in a two-vehicle accident Dec. 16 onOld Spanish Trail in Paradis.

Lori A. Simmons, 34, of 10415 Old Spanish Trail, was eastbound on that roadat 7 a.m. According to Louisiana State Trooper S. Volante, Simmons’ 1993 NissanSentra crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head on in a straight segment of the roadway, west of Nedd Lane.

Daris D. Dasch Jr., 52, was driving the 1978 Ford F-250 Ranger which wasstruck by the Nissan. He was transported to St. Charles Parish Hospital inLuling for treatment of his injuries.

Edric Calvin Taylor, 29, of 219 Clement St., New Sarpy, a passenger in theSimmons’ vehicle, was transported to West Jefferson Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
