Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Matherne announce the engagement of their daughter,Vicki Lynn Madere, to Glenn Jude Vicknair, son of Mr. and Mrs. JamesVicknair.

The couple plan to marry Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church inPaulina.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Chanel and Hermina St.

Pierre and the late George and Cecile Matherne.

She is a 1986 graduate of Lutcher High School and is employed as a manager of CWT/Calco Travel Inc. of Lutcher.The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of the late Oliver and Edwina Oubre and the late Felicien and Ceria Vicknair.

He is a 1982 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and is employed asan operator with Motiva Norco Refining Co. in Norco.Following a honeymoon trip to Sandals Antigua in the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Gramercy.
