Kathy J. McWaters or LaPlace and William L. Davis of Brusly announce theengagement of their daughter, Jean Elizabeth Davis, to Brandon Carl Brasseaux, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dwain Brasseaux of Prairieville.The couple plan to wed Aug. 11 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant.The bride-elect was graduated from St. Amant High School and is currentlyattending Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond.

She is the granddaughter of Isola B. McWaters of Metairie, the late Marcus M.McWaters, Ruby P. Davis of Jennings and the late Charles M. Davis.The prospective bridegroom, whose mother is the former Pam A. Porter,was graduated from St. Amant High School and recently finished a tour ofduty in the Marine Corps. He will also be attending SLU in Hammond.He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gussy Brasseaux, Helen W. Porter and thelate James K. Porter.After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Hammond.
