Bayou Gauche man booked in Norco rape

NORCO – A Bayou Gauche man was charged with raping his former girlfriend at her home in Norco on July 27. He turned himself in to the sheriff’s officetwo days later.

Capt. Patrick Yoes reported that Eric J. Gros, 18, of 115 Dixie Drive, went toher house on St. Charles Street in violation of a protective order she hadplaced against him.

While there, Yoes reported, Gros pulled a pocket knife, threatened her if she didn’t drop the protective order, then raped her.

Gros surrendered to deputies at the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s OfficeSecond District in New Sarpy on July 29 at 5:56 p.m.Bond was set by 29th Judicial District Judge Emile St. Pierre at $600,000,and he remains in custody.
