RPCC holds tournament

SORRENTO – Nearly 100 golf enthusiasts turned out at Belle Terre Country Club in LaPlace June 26 to support the River Parishes Community College’s first Golf Scramble Fundraiser.

The tournament attracted more than 20 tears from businesses and industries throughout the River Parishes.

The Environmental Coating Servives team of Danny Bailey, Danny Duhe, Bubbie Anderson and Brock Anderson won low net first place. Low netsecond place went to the Volks Constructors team of Sid Quatrevingt, Jeff Roussel, Ronnie Hughes and Roland Boudoin.

Low gross first place went to the Riverdale team of Andy Diez, Pookie Diez, Dwayne Landry and David Landry. The Sigma Consulting/TMAEnvironmental team of Tommy Allen, Toby Waguespack, Billy Crabtree and Mike Reames took second place in low gross.

The winner of the Longest Drive contest was Toby Waguespack of Team Sigma.

Proceeds from the tournment will be used primarily to provide scholarships for RPCC students.
