BONNETTE KENNER – Janis Rene Drake Bonnette, 49, a native of Rock Island, Ill., andresident of LaPlace for 10 years, died June 15. She was the wife of JesseEdward Bonnette Jr. and mother of Denielle Viellion and Jessica Bonnette.She was also the daughter of the late Francis and Joan Brown Drake and sister of Jody Drake Maines.

Services were June 19 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home,Kenner, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

EVRIDGE LAPLACE – Christopher Ben Evridge, 49, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace since 1981, died June 11. He was the son of CatherineEvridge and brother of Bill and Kim Evridge.

Memorial services were June 20 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche, Texas.

HARPER EDGARD – Dominic “Popeye” Harper, 18, a native and resident of Edgard, died June 15. He was the son of Byron and Nedra Champagne Harper andbrother of Devren Harper.

He was also the grandson of Joyce Champagne and Mildred Joseph.

Services were June 19 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church cemetery.

JONES HARVEY – Claudia M. “Coone” Jones, 95, a native of St. John the BaptistParish and a resident of Algiers, died June 15. She was the daughter of thelate C.C. and Marie Rosella Jones and sister of the late Anita “Nean”Hebert, Lillian Johnson, Joseph Lagrande, Pearl Baker and Loretta, Isabell and Marie Jones.

Services were June 19 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, with interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Edgard.

MONNOT NEW ORLEANS – Mary Darsam Monnot, 90, a native of New Orleans and longtime resident of Norco, died June 18. She was the wife of CharlesMonnot Jr. and mother of Marie Davidson and James and Charles Monnot III.She was also the daughter of the late J.W. and Caroline Darsam.She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services are today at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Jacob Schoen & SonFuneral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

PITTMAN LUTCHER – Tyrone “Toppy” “Penthouse” Pittman, 38, a native and resident of Lutcher, died June 12. He was the father of Janae, Dominique andDemarious Pittman.

He was also the son of Charles and Dorothy Price Pittman and brother of Jacqueline Wallace, Sandra “Faye” Cohn, Yolanda Williams and Angela, Tremain and Michael Pittman.

He was also the grandson of Verla Pittman. He was preceded in death byhis grandparents, Charley Pittman and Carter and Pearl Georgetown Price.

Services were June 19 at King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

SCHMILL DES ALLEMANDS – Clay Per Schmill, 93, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died June 16. He ws the son of the late Charles Sr. and LenaKoscher Schmill and brother of Hilda Tastet and the late Jens and Charles Schmill Jr.

Services were June 17 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands,with interment at Graham-Schmill Cemetery, Des Allemands.
