BERGERON DES ALLEMANDS – Lucien J. “Dale” Bergeron, 73, a native and resident of DesAllemands, died April 26. He was the husband of the late Marguerite Bergeronand father of Roy, Bryan and Stanley Bergeron Sr. and Yolanda Triche.He was also the son of the late Adam and Lizzie Bergeron and brother of Leonise LeBlanc, Claudia Champagne and Josephine Arceneaux.
He was preceded in death by brothers Alex, Felix and Percy Bergeron and sisters Enita Monier, Leona Hymel, Clothile Arceneaux and Lucille Zeringue.
He is survived by five grandchildren and five great-granchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services were held April 28 at the Mennonite Church, Des Allemands, with interment at the Mennonite Cemetery.
CARTER METAIRIE – Redella Treaudo Carter, 98, a native of St. James Parish andresident of New Orleans for the past 70 years, died April 19. She was thesister of Clarence, Wilmer and Joshua Treaudo, Louise Garrison, Alma Dennis and Rose Octave.
Services were held April 28 at Marine Missionary Baptist Church, Jefferson Parish, with interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. James Parish.
DAVIS HARVEY – Mark Anthony Davis, 30, a native of Killona and resident of Harvey, died April 19. He was the husband of Tamara Davis and father of DiamondDavis.
He was the son of Bonita Spencer and the late L.D. Davis and the adopted sonof the late Mr. and Mrs. Cullen Davis. He was also the brother of JeanneRichardson, Debra Coleman and Denise Noel.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Cannon Baptist Church, Killona, withinterment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft. Visitation begins at 10 a.m.
FUGATE LAPLACE – Janice A. Fugate, 61, a native of Charlesston, West Va. andresident of LaPlace for the past 15 years, died April 23. She was the motherof Noah, Kimberly and Lisa Marie Fugate.
She is also survived by three grandchildren.
Services were held April 27 at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, Metairie,with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
HENDERSON BATON ROUGE – Gladys Heltz Henderson, 82, a native of Paulina and resident of Baton Rouge, died April 27. She was the wife of the late Louis V.Henderson and mother of Wanda Hetzel, Gayle Ducote and Wayne and Douglas Henderson.
She was also the sister of Eunice May, Grace Roussel, Helen Lambert and Emile, Daniel and Nelson Heltz.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Baton Rouge,with interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Visitation isfrom 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
JASMIN NEW ORLEANS – Adam Jasmin, 98, a native of Vacherie and resident of New Orleans for 68 years, died April 20. He was the husband of Lydia Jasmin, father of Malcom C. Jasmin and step-father of Oscar Hupolyte.He was the son of the late Ettinne and Corrine Jasmin.
He is also survived by three grandchildren.
Services were held April 26 at St. Mary of Angels Church, New Orleans, withinterment at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, New Orleans.
JESSIE NEW ORLEANS – Duke J. Jessie Sr., 83, a native of Vacherie and resident ofNew Orleans for 70 years, died April 20. He was the husband of LeborahJessie and father of Kenneth, Gerald Sr., Myron Sr., Deidre and the late DukeJessie Jr.
He was the son of the late Paul and Lorenza Jessie and the brother of the late Lloyd, Eunice, Aaron Jessie, Vivian Steib, Anita Brice and Maude Bass.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 27 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, New Orleans,with interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans.
POCHE METAIRIE – Anthony Gayle Poch, M.D., 69, a native of Convent and residentof Metairie, died April 27. He was the husband of Bessie Poch and father ofClaire Chachere, Adele Eisenbraun and the late Anthony G. Poch Jr.He was also the son of the late L. Ariste and Lydia Poch and brother ofS.J., Joseph, Leon, James, Neal, Hester, Francis, John and the Rev. LouisPoch.
He is also survived by two grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church,Gramercy, with entombment at St. Michael Mausoleum, Convent. Visitation isfrom 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
PRINCE LULING – Charles E. Prince, 63, a native of Little Rock, Ark. and resident ofLuling for the past 31 years, died April 25. He was the husband of SalliePrince and father of Stacie Johnson and Kellie Prince.
He was also the son of the late Gladys and Delmar Prince and0 brother of Curtis Prince.
He is also survived by one grandchild.
Services were held April 27, at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, Kenner.
SAUL THIBODAUX – Irma Saul, 87, native and resident of Vacherie, died April 23.
She was the wife of the late Ettienne G. Saul and mother of Mary Dumas SulDumas and Clifton Joseph Saul Sr.
She was also the daughter of the late Willie and Mathilda James and sister of Laura Isom, Eloise Wilson and the late Heedly, Wilson and Joseph James, Victoria Lewis and Bernard, Emily and Esperence Dumas.
She is survived by 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 28 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.
SCOTT NEW ORLEANS – Roland Howard Scott Jr., 30, a native of New Orleans, formerresident of St. Rose and resident of New Orleans, died April 21. He was theson of Roland Scott Sr. and Linda Scott and brother of Adam and Brice Scottand Vicki Scott-Clark.
He is also survived by his grandfather Henry Williams Sr.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church,Kenner, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose. Visitationbegins at 9 a.m.
WILLIAMS LULING – Raymond B. Williams, 79, a native of Des Allemands and resident ofLuling, died April 21. He was the husband of Elder Audrey L. Williams andfather of Laurien Coleman, Stephen, Jeraline, Malcolm, Torin Williams and Glenda, William Jr. and Ruby Scott.He was also the son of the late James and Lillie Williams and brother of Enola Shields.
He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Chruch, Des Allemands,with interment at Shell Mound Cemetery, Des Allemands. Visitation begins at10 a.m.
