Lumar, Webster honored

LAFAYETTE – West St. John’s Jeremy Lumar and St. James’ Corey Websterwere named to the Top 28 all-Tournament team after leading their respective teams to state championships.
Lumar, the Class 2A Tournament outstanding player, averaged 21 points, four steals and seven rebounds a game in West St. John’s victories overMcCall and Coushatta. He had a game-high 28 points in the Rams’ 84-71victory over Coushatta in the Class 2A championship game.
Webster, who received the Class 3A Tournament outstanding player award, averaged 17.5 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals a game inthe Wildcats’ wins over Minden and St. Bernard. He had 16 points and nineassists in the Class 3A championship victory over St. Bernard.Joining Webster and Lumar were Tarrance Richard of St. Bernard, ChadHartman and Tim Bush of Archbishop Shaw and Nick Anderson of Southern Lab. Anderson was named the tournament’s MVP.
