AUDIFFRED
RESERVE – Sidney “Kaiser” Audiffred, 86, a native and resident of Reserve, died Oct. 14. He was the husband of the late Rita Ruiz Audiffredand father of Sidney Jr. and Martin Audiffred.He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 19 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery.
BLANK
GRAMERCY – Blanche Braud Blank, a native and resident of Gramercy, died Oct. 15. She was the wife of the late Hypolite Blank Sr. and mother ofMarie Loupe, Teta Smith, Emelie Eliser, Bernard Sr. and Hypolite Blank Jr.and the late Lelia Sims and Ferrell Blank Sr.
She was also the daughter of the late Desire Jr. and Louise Gaudin Braudand sister of Lullian Scott.
She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy,with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.
CHIASSON
LULING – Mae “Marie” LeBlanc Chiasson, 76, a native of Lockport and a resident of Luling, died Oct. 17. She was the wife of the late Frances”Red” Manuel Chiasson and mother of Paula Friloux and Manuel “Sonny,” Ronald and Mark Chiasson.
She was also the daughter of the late Paul and Marie Ayo LeBlanc and sister of Elsie Fredrick, Odile Savoie and the late Mabel Ledet and Clifton LeBlanc.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are today at noon at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling,with interment at Holy Savior Cemetery, Lockport. Visitation starts at 9a.m.
GIROIR
NORCO – Irma Marie Giroir, 92, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Destrehan, died Oct. 17. She was the daughter of the late Alcee and IrmaBroussard Giroir and sister of Rena Jacob, Lillian Morarity and the late Lawrence, Sidney, Alcee Jr., Charles and Clarence Giroir.Services were held Oct. 19 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church,Norco, with interment at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Paincourtville.
GLASS
LULING – Frances Geneveive Glass, 60, a native of Luling and a resident of Boutte, died Oct. 17. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Glass andmother of Melanie Kramer.
She was also the daughter of the late Theodore and Melonie Bergeron Schmill and sister of Ella Lirette, Berthile Potter, Lucille Lane, Edward Schmill and the late Dora Schaubhut, Molly Diffy, Wilamena McShane, Mary Galande, Maude Cologne and Thomas and Percy Schmill.
She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Services are today at noon at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling,with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
HAYDEL
DES ALLEMANDS – Gloria DeJean Andry Haydel, 77, a native of Lutcher and a resident of Des Allemands, died Oct. 15. She was the wife by firstmarriage of the late Charles Andry and by second marriage of Denis “Red” Haydel Jr.; mother of Elaine Ayo, Virginia Blank, George Andry and the lateMaureen Chaisson; and step-mother of Donald and Denis Haydel III.
She was also the daughter of the late George and Virginia Duhe DeJean Sr.
and sister of Ethel Hayes, Melvin DeJean Sr. and the late Shirley Knott andRoy Sr., George Jr., Percy Sr., Elwood, Dudley Sr. and Harry DeJean.She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 18 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands,with interment at the church cemetery.
HOTARD
METAIRIE – Antoine F. J. Hotard, 80, a native of Edgard and a resident ofMetairie for 53 years, died Oct. 14. He was the husband of Harriet BickhamHotard and father of Lillian Beachler, Antoinette Weatherly and A. Michael,Julie and Rhonda Hotard.
He was also the son of the late Lionel Sr. and Elvina Hymel Hotard andbrother of Lorraine Bradley, Rose Marie Barrilleaux and Aubrey, Clayton, Percy, Lionel Jr., Stephen, Elmo and Daniel Hotard.He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 16 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son FuneralHome, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
JACQUE CONVENT – Elaine M. Jacque, 50, a native and resident of Convent, died Oct.14. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Veronica Jacque and sisterof Cynthia Irvin, Jewel, Earl and Darrow Jacque and the late Debra Jacque.
Services were held Oct. 19 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church,Convent, with interment at the church cemetery.
KINCAID
KENNER – Carol Lynn Young Kincaid, 55, a native of Charleston, W. Va., anda resident of Luling for 23 years, died Oct. 17. She was the wife of JosephM. Kincaid and mother of Sherri Martin and Cynthia, Johanna and TeahneeKincaid.
She was also the daughter of the late Sherman and Grace Jeffers Young.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Memorial services are today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Kenner.
QUIGLEY
CHALMETTE – Beulah Duhe Quigley, 88, a native of Reserve and a resident of Chalmette, died Oct. 16. She was the wife by first marriage of the lateHarry Daigle and by second marriage of the late Erwin Quigley and mother of the late Harry Daigle Sr.
She was also the daughter of the late Rene Sr. and Cordelia Duhe and sisterof Edith Faist, Joseph Duhe and the late Ella Cicet and Rene Jr., Chester,Maurice and Lewis Duhe.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 19 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church,Chalmette, with interment at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
ROBERT
METAIRIE – Jeanne Songy Robert, 76, a native of Edgard and a resident of Metairie for 53 years, died Oct. 13. She was the wife of Lucien A. Robertfor 56 years and mother of Mary Hubbell, Ginger Soignier, Susan Treuting, Cindy Talbot, Jeanne Lanza and Giselle, Gary, Brian, Bruce, Kevin, Keith and Craig Robert.
She was the daughter of the late Luc and Rosine Waguespack Songy and sister of Katherine Homer, Ruffin, Etienne and Joseph Songy and the late Marie Kroll, Maude Smothers and Luc Jr., Guy and Berchman Songy.She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 16 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church,Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.
