Former LaPlace resident marries in Ohio

FINDLEY, Ohio – Stacy L. Allen of Findlay, Ohio, became the bride of Brent J. Fry,of Fostoria, Ohio, in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony May 29 at St. Wendelin CatholicChurch, Fostoria.

Officiating were the Rev. Kent Kautman of St. Wendelin and the Rev. Ben LowellNe New Salem United Methodist Church, Findlay.

Ceremony music was provided by organist Kathy Mumy of Fostoria, and soloist Teresa Wright of Fremont, Ohio.

Parents of the couple are Chris and John Allen of Findlay, Ohio, and George and Jacquelyn Fry of Fostoria, Ohio.

Serving as the maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Tracy Allen, of Findlay.

Bridesmaids included Tiffany Eddie and Angie Mefford of Findlay and Amber Trego and Erin Hunt, both of Ypsilanti, Mich. They wore long sleeveless sapphirevelvet gowns with a chiffon wrap. Their bouquets featured white, lavender andnavy roses in a bed of ivy and babies breath, entangled in lace and ribbon.

The bride was dressed in a white satin gown featuring sequins and pearls with a fitted waist. The bride’s bouquet was made up of white roses, lavenderirises, babies breath and ivy.

Best man was Josh Yost of Fostoria. Groomsmen and ushers included Ben andJason Fry, brothers of the groom, and Chad Wonderly all from Fostoria, and Mike Dyle of Liberty Center, Ohio.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Lacy Allen, sister of the bride, and Jackson Ader of Fort Thomas, Ky.

A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the UAW Hall in Fostoria. Thehall was decorated with a Victorian theme including lilacs, roses, grapes and lights.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to Smoky Mountains of Tennessee.

The newlyweds are both seniors at Eastern Michigan University. The bride isa past resident of LaPlace and former student at Riverside Academy. She is a1996 graduate from Van Buren High School and is majoring in biology at Eastern Michigan.

The groom is a 1996 graduate from St. Wendelin High School and is majoring injournalism.

The couple reside in Ypsilanti, Mich.

Special guests at the wedding included Walter and Shirley Brown of LaPlace.
