BROACH BOUTTE – Benjamin Joe Broach, 69, a native of Calhoun County, Ark., and aresident of Luling, died June 14. He was the husband of Louise AdamsBroach and father of Diane Pitchford, Donna Post and Danelle and Doug Broach.

He was also the son of Georgia Broach and the late I.B. Broach and brotherof Betty Klippert, Charlotte Brasher and Donald Broach.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild.

He was a retired superintendent from Monsanto Company, and he was owner and operator of Broach Auto Sales in Boutte for 45 years.

Services were held June 17 at Boutte Assembly of God Church, Boutte, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.CONE METAIRIE – Clarence “C.J.” Cone, 76, a native of Couauraga, N.Y., and aresident of LaPlace for 32 years, died June 12. He was the husband ofGlordia Tarantino Cone and father of Catherine Cole, Darlene Baker, Dawn Grass, Deborah Brower and Kenneth and Timothy Cone.

He was also the brother of Betty Giese.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was a 23-year U.S. Army veteran and a former Japanese prisoner of warand member of the Ex-P.O.W. Club.Services were held June 16 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

DERONCELAY GARYVILLE – Irvin Deroncelay, 82, a native of Lions and a resident of Garyville, died June 13. He was the husband of Lucille Deroncelay.He was also the brother of the late Benjamin Deroncelay.

He was a retired sugar checker for Godchaux-Henderson Sugar Refinery.

Services were held June 16 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.FOBB LAPLACE – Shelton “Howard” “House” Fobb Jr., 72, a native and resident ofLaPlace, died June 15. He was the husband of Loretta Fobb and father ofRosetta, Gwendolyn, Antoinette, Carol, Shelton III, Alvin, Randy and Howard Joseph Fobb.

He was also the son of the late Shelton Sr. and Nitise B. Fobb.He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, LaPlace, withinterment at Providence Resthaven.

JONES KENNER – Mayola Parker Jones, 76, a native of New Roads and a resident of St. Rose for many years, died June 13. She was the mother of Laura Lee,Janny Eugene, Cathy Jarreau, Linda Lovick and Iona Navarre.

She was also the sister of Anita Castine, Ida Kador and Morris Parker.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 18 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Kenner, with interment at Providence Memorial Park.

JUPITER NEW ORLEANS – Earl Jupiter, 86, a native of Killona and a resident of New Orleans for 69 years, died June 13. He was the husband of Uldean GreenJupiter and father of Uldean Jupiter-Hawkins.

He was also the son of the late Zeno and Virginia Jupiter and brother of the late Freddie Barry, Myrtle Carmouche and Zenobia Greenup.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, NewOrleans, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.LOUPE LULING – Lucie Oubre Loupe, 83, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Luling, died June 12. She was the wife of Maurice A. Loupe Sr. and motherof Rose Ann Laurent, Betty Muller and Maurice Loupe Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Sylvester and Zeoline Ockman Oubre and sister of Hilda Gaudin, Emily Lemoine, Enola Mayeaux, Guy Oubre and the late Esperance Lassere and Jean, Sylvester, Nolan and Beulah Oubre.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 14 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church,Luling, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.ST. PIERRE NORCO – Roy St. Pierre, 68, a native of Des Allemands and a resident ofNorco, died June 17. He was the son of Ethel Lapeyrolerie St. Pierre andthe late Anthony St. Pierre.Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church,Norco, with interment at St. Gabriel Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.SCRIVENS HAHNVILLE – Jane Marie Johnson Scrivens, 53, a native of Hahnville and a resident of New Orleans for 24 years, died June 11. She ws the mother ofBenjamin Jr., Carvin Sr. and Derrick Scrivens Sr.She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Mae Johnson and sister of Joella McCray, Elizabeth and Anna Mae Marshall, Johnnie Rae Proby, Patty Ann Militello, Mary, Charles Sr., Benjamin and Joseph JohnsonJr. and the late Ethel White and JoAnna Brown.She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Hahnville,with interment at St. James United Methodist Cemetery, Hahnville.Visitation starts at 10 a.m.SHEPARD RESERVE – The Rev. Joseph Shepard, 84, a native of St. James and aresident of Reserve for more than 60 years, died June 15. He was thehusband of Gustavia Frederick Shepard and father of Ida Coleman, Betty Grover, Barbara Cook, Carol Williams and Mack, Joseph, Edward and Clarence Shepard.

He was also the son of the late Pasty and Vary Shepard and preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and nine grandchildren.

He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Greater New Plymouth Rock BaptistChurch, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.

Visitation starts at 9 a.m.STEWART NEW ORLEANS – Clancy “Leo” Stewart, a native of Reserve and a resident of New Orleans for 41 years, died June 15. He was the husband of ZenobiaTaylor Stewart and father of Joel David Stewart and the late Lauren and Leo Stewart.

He was also the son of the late James and Louise Arceneaux Stewart and brother of Ernestine, Kathleen, Louis and Ferrell Stewart and the late Beverly Williams, Bernadine and Gloria Stewart.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

Services were held June 18 at St. James Major Catholic Church, NewOrleans, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.TROSCLAIR LULING – Claude Joseph Trosclair Jr., 62, a resident of Luling for 45 years,died June 16. He was the husband of Deanne Nardelle Trosclair and fatherof Joy Dupre and Claude Trosclair III.

He was raised by Enola and Cyreaque Duet, the brother of Ernestine Keener and step-brother of Dorothy Duhe and Mary LeBlanc.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, withinterment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.YOES NORCO – Iola Marie Robillard Yoes, 74, a native of New Roads and a resident of Norco, died June 16. She was the former wife of Henry E.”Gene” Yoes Jr. and mother of Marsha Sciortino, Pamela Leon, RebeccaBecnel and Henry III, Michael Sr., Patrick, Cynthia, and Tracey Yoes.She was also the daughter of the late John V. and Tillie Langlois Robillard.She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

She was the former manager of the St. Charles Herald and a registerednurse until her retirement in 1991.

Services are today at 1 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, withinterment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan. Visitationstarts at 10 a.m.
