ATTENHOFER METAIRIEPearl Simon Attenhofer, 87, a native of Vacherie and a resident of New Orleans, died June 10. She was the wife of the late RobertH. Attenhofer and mother of Kenneth Attenhofer.She was also the daughter of the late Prudent and Olphida Reider Simon and sister of Allen, Lawrence, Neil, Floyd, Pelham and Vincent Simon and the late Eunice Abadie, Blanche Poche, Rose Villneuve and Vivian, Prudent and Daniel Simon.

Services were held June 14 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories.

AUBERT NORCOLeola Jacob Aubert, 62, a native and resident of Reserve, died June 11. She was the wife of Donald F. Aubert.She was also the daughter of the late Leo and Amy Levet Jacob and sister of Earline Cicet.

Services were held June 14 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.CARDINAL DESTREHANNoelie Albert Cardinal, 61, a native of St. Rose and aresident of Destrehan, died June 10. She was the wife of Paul Cardinal Sr.and mother of Paul Jr. and Cameron Cardinal.She was also the daughter of the late Nicholas and Irma Albert and sister of Alida and Eunita Vernealla.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held June 14 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

DECAREAUX PAULINARonald Albert “Pee-Wee” Decareaux, 65, a native of Lutcher and a resident of Paulina, died June 11. He was the husband of the late JaniceKinler Decareaux and father of Debbie Millet, Melanie St. Pierre, AmyLouque and Lynne, Ronald Jr. and David Decareaux.He was also the brother of Inez Lowry, Gladys Louque, Jewell Bourgeois, June Bailey, Barbara Waller and the late Ruth Schexnaydre, Pearl Detillier and Alberta Decareaux.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

Services were held June 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.

DESLATTES METAIRIELeonard A. Deslattes, 88, a native of Lutcher and a resident ofMetairie for 58 years, died June 13. He was the husband by first marriageof the late Hazel Vicknair Deslattes and by second marriage of the late Alice Haurez Deslattes.

He was also the son of the late Camille and Urine Loupe Deslattes and brother of the late Olive Menendez, Mrs. R. DeRoche, Blance Hymell andFerdanane Deslattes.

Services were held June 17 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories.

FOLSE VACHERIEAureaus Joseph Folse, 81, a native and resident of Vacherie, died June 13. He was the husband of Joyce Nicholas Folse and father of Zilda, Wilbert, Whitney, Jeffery and Todd Folse.

He was also the son of the late Louisey and Lutchia Marse Folse and brother of Beatrice Matherne, Aurelise Becnel, Flodia Stein and Rayley Folse.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services were held June 15 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

MURRAY MARREROFrankie E. Murray, 80, a native of McComb, Miss., and a residentof Destrehan, died June 14. She was the wife of the late Ray P. Murray andmother of Ann Armand, Mavis Fore and Ray Franklin Murray.

She was also the daughter of the late William and Maggie Easley and sister of Elma Sartin and the late Marguerite Keeper and Evelyn Marcella.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She helped establish the Girl Scouts in St. Charles Parish in the 1960s,retired from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office after 20 years andwas a co-founder of the Fraternal Order of Police in St. Charles Parish.Services were held June 16 in the chapel of Westside Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Hollywood Cemetery, McComb, Miss.

TAYLOR PAULINACarmen Taylor, 34, a native and resident of Convent, died June 11. She was the mother of Akeyia Lee.She was also the daughter of Charlie Hayes Sr. and the late Pearl RuthTaylor Hayes and sister of Karen McKinley, Tracey Jackson, Elizabeth, Viola and Betty Mae Joshua, Juanita Ray, Cynthia Benn, Donald and Daniel Taylor, Bryant Hayes and Charles Ellis.

Services were held June 15 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at Pilgrim Baptist Cemetery, Convent.

TURCOTTE BATON ROUGEGrace Melancon Turcotte, 73, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Central, died June 11. She was the wife of the late Hines A.Turcotte Sr. and step-mother of Edward, Jerry and Hines Turcotte Jr.She was also the daughter of the late E.P. “Shing” and Julie DuraldeMelancon and sister of Marie Curry, Betty Lanoux and Gloria Garside.

Services were held June 13 in the chapel of Greenoaks Funeral Home, Baton Rouge.
