Debra Kay Rice and Harold Edward “Hal” Manuel III, both of Plano, Texas, will be united in marriage April 10, 1999, at Woodland Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas.

Miss Rice is the daughter of Joella S. Rice of Beaumont. Manuel is the sonof Budd and Sharon Manuel of LaPlace.

The bride-elect is a graduate of French High School and Lamar University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in computer science. Sheis employed as a software engineer by Raytheon Systems Co., of Garland,Texas.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of St. Charles Catholic HighSchool and Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of science degree in computer engineering. He is also employed as a softwareengineer by Raytheon Systems Co.

The 4 p.m. wedding in Beaumont will be followed by a reception at TheBrown Center in Orange, Texas.
