Ten years ago LaPlace native Tami Arceneaux reigned as Queen du Monde XVI.

Now the 29-year-old is busy taking care of her two active children, Kadie, 7, and Kalin, 5.

Tami is the daughter of Delton and Sue Arceneaux of LaPlace, who have five other children. Delton Arceneaux is the owner of Arceneaux Realty,Inc.

Tami has a real estate license and has worked in that field as well as in the travel industry but now finds being mother a full-time job.

Arceneaux and her partner, Thomas Levatino, own a mobile home moving business, T & M Mobile Homes, Inc.

In her spare time, Tami and the girls enjoy watching Levatino race his dragster, a 1996 Spitzer, on the Super Comp circuit throughout the southern United States.
