BURLEIGH LULING – Ruby Marie McMurrain Burleigh, 72, a native of El Dorado, Ark.,and a resident of Luling for 44 years, died Dec. 29. She was the wife ofHurschel Burleigh and mother of Mary Ann Plattsmier, Sinie Marie Lacour and Hurschel “Macky” Jr., Richard and Leigh Ann Burleigh.She was also the daughter of the late Harry and Sinie Murphy McMurrain and sister of Agee Lowe, Hazel Morton and the late Mary Reid.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, withinterment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.COLEMAN NEW ORLEANS – Evelyn Banks Coleman, 102, a native of Luling and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Dec. 27. She was the mother ofDorothy Dinkins and Alma, O’Neal and Cleveland Ray Coleman.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 9 a.m. in the chapel of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home,New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitationstarts at 8 a.m.FRILOUX DESTREHAN – Louis Rock Friloux, 84, a native of Ama and resident of St.

Rose for 70 years, died Dec. 29. He was the husband of Cecile BarbaraPatrick Friloux and father of Gale Guccione and Louis “Sonny” Friloux Jr.

He was also the son of the late Paul and Marie Zeringue Friloux and brother of Rena Roberts, Cecile Roux and the late Irene Faucheaux, Neomi Gautreaux, Elmire Braud, Stella Reynolds and David and Anatol Friloux.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 31 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen & Son FuneralHome, Kenner, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum,Destrehan.

GROS BOUTTE – Joseph “Joe” Harold Gros, 53, a native of Vacherie and resident of Hahnville, died Dec. 24. He was the father of Shavondalonn Alexanderand Damian, Anastasia, Kyla and Farrah Gros.

He was also the son of Priscilla Dumas Gros and the late Francois Gros and brother of Phyllis Charles, Maria Antonio, Eddie and Mark Gros and the late Francois Jr. and Michael Gros.He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 31 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, withinterment at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Cemetery, Vacherie.
