Allovus names queen, king: Feb. 3 ball prepares ‘Allovus Presents Night at the Derby’ theme

Steven Paul Montz and Paige Catherine Williams will reign as King and Queen Allovus LIII during the annual ball Feb. 3 at “Allovus Presents Night at the Derby” at St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace.
They will be joined by Krewe of Allovus court members, selected based on their participation in the LaPlace Area Recreational and Youth Organization (LARAYO) and Krewe of Allovus for the past 52 years.
Family and youth activities are the focus of their organization.
To build community spirit and celebrate Mardi Gras, the krewe was formed by members of LARAYO in 1965. That year the first ball and parade rolled with Bertram Madere as Grand Marshal and chief assistants Arnold Labat and Kyle Madere at his side.
The Allovus Krewe paraded until 1971, then they turned over the parade to the LaPlace Jaycees, who organized Krewe du Monde.
Steven has been married to the former Dolores Berthelot for 23 years. Along with their children Kaylyn and Braedon, they reside in Reserve.
He graduated from LSU with a BS in Business, a minor in history and a specialization in Physical Education. He is employed as chief estimator for All Star Electric in LaPlace.
A lifelong member of LARAYO, Steven coached Kaylyn and Braedon and served on the LARAYO Board of Directors for the past 13 years, where Dolores also served. Steven reigned as Duke Allovus XLII, served as Captain Allovus XLVI, XLVII and XLVIII. His daughter Kaylyn reigned as Maid Allovus L.
In 2016, The Rotary Club of LaPlace selected Montz as the Delton Arceneaux Citizen of the Year Award recipient for his outstanding community service.
A member of LARAYO for 14 years, Paige is the daughter of Steven and Janelle Keating Williams of LaPlace. She played softball for 11 years, was a member of the swim team for 13 years, was a lifeguard for 4 years and was assistant swim team coach for a year.
Paige is a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University, majoring in kinesiology with a concentration in fitness and human performance. She works for the South Louisiana Swim Team as an assistant coach, and this spring she will be an assistant softball coach for St. Charles Catholic.
Her mother, Janelle, was Maid Allovus XXIV, and her father, Steven, was Duke Allovus XLIII. Paige was Maid Allovus XLIX, and her younger sister, Kelsie, joins her on this year’s court as a maid.
Paige has been a Krewe member for three years, assisting with decorating, cleanup, music selection and presentation of gifts at the social.
Captain Daryl Paul Cox is married to the former Anna Marie Wille for 30 years. They have two children, Christopher and Rebeca.
Daryl is employed by Cargill, Reserve as their Electrical Supervisor. Their family has been members of LARAYO for the past 20 years. Daryl has been on the board for 11 years and was the President for the past seven years. He and his wife have been Krewe members going on 15 years, serving on the concession and decorating committee. Anna also served as secretary and treasurer.
Daryl was Duke Allovus XLIII and Ball Chairman from 2014 – 2016 and served as Captain for the Royal Courts of LII and LIII.
Son Christopher has been a Krewe member for 10 years and daughter Rebeca Mishelle Cox was Maid Allovus XLV, Queen ALLOUVS LI and a Krewe member for six years.
Duke Aaron Joseph Tregre is a lifelong River Parishes resident. He and his wife Nicole Guarino Tregre have been members of LARAYO for seven years. They have four children: Baileigh Noel Tregre, Bryleigh Rose Tregre, Brooklyn Mae Tregre and Braxton Joseph Tregre.
Aaron owns A PLUS Construction, a residential and commercial construction company in LaPlace. Nicole and her family have been members of LARAYO since the late 1980s. Three of Aaron and Nicole’s children are on the Barracuda Swim Team.
Maid Kelsie Marilyn Williams is the daughter of Steven and Janelle Keating Williams of LaPlace. She has one sister, Paige Catherine Williams.
Kelsie is a junior at St. Charles Catholic High School, where she is a member of the swim team, softball team and Beta Club. Kelsie played softball for LARAYO for eight years, has been a member of the swim team for 12 years and was a lifeguard.
She enjoys volunteering during the summer with the “Baby Barracudas” who are practicing their skills to become members of the Barracuda Swim Team.
Kelsie is the final family member to become Allovus royalty.
Duke Jason Paul Fabre is married to Amanda Fabre, and they have three sons: Ori Fabre, Forrier Fabre and Max Blouin.
Jason works for Monsanto as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer in Luling.
He played ball at LARAYO, starting when he was 5 and finished when he was 15.
His sisters played softball and swam for approximately 10 years as well and he has most recently been active at LARAYO through his sons.
Maid Madison Victoria Weber’s parents are Matthew and Amy Weber and siblings are Owen Weber, Lily Weber and Ashtyn Weber.
She works as a receptionist at Joe McMahon law firm and plans to attend Southeastern Louisiana University in the fall.
Madison has been involved with LARAYO for 14 years, playing softball, swimming and serving as a lifeguard.
Duke Nayib “Jeep” Antonio Barrios is married to Gina Saladino Barrios and father of Caden, Logan and Hailey Barrios. He is the industrial and commercial sales manager for Reserve Telecommunications.
Jeep has been involved with LARAYO for five years, watching his children swim and play ball. He is a board member of the St. Charles Catholic quarterback club and newly elected board member of LARAYO.
Maid Robbie Tomeny Duhe — daughter of Colin Duhe and Heidi Tomeny and sister of Lance Tomeny Duhe — is a freshman at Louisiana State University, majoring in Natural Resources and Ecology.
Robbie plans to become a Wildlife Conservationist. She played softball and swam for LARAYO.
Duke Andrew Joseph Pregeant is married to Lisa Faucheux Pregeant, and their children are Cade, Bryce and Dax.
He works as an engineer at Monsanto and has been a member of LARAYO and baseball coach for seven years.
Jason is the Booster Club President of the St. Joan of Arc Vikings, he’s also a Football and Baseball Coach at St. Joan of Arc and an Advisory Board member at St. Charles Catholic High School.
Maid Kaitlyn Janice Lowry is daughter of Tricia Lowry and the late David Lowry. Her siblings are Hannah, Trey, Duncan, Hunter and Aidan.
Kaitlyn is a 2015 graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School and is a junior at LSU, where she will graduate in May 2019 with dual certification in Elementary and Special Education. She is a volunteer buddy for The Miracle League at Cypress Mounds.
The Lowrys have been members of LARAYO since 2001. Kaitlyn participated in softball for 12 years and swimming for 15 years. She was the 2015 recipient of the Charmain Faucheux Memorial Award for loyalty and dedication, and she currently serves as the assistant swim coach. Her siblings have all participated in softball/baseball and swimming.
